Albion still hope to bag Terrors midfielder

Dundee United are readying themselves for an improved follow-up offer from West Bromwich Albion for Scottish Under-21 international midfielder Scott Allan after already refusing an opening bid of in the region of 250,000.

The nineteen-year-old recently turned down a new deal at Tannadice and has already attracted considerable attention from the SPL and south of the border.

Both Celtic and Rangers were previously linked with possible approaches for a player who has actually still only made a handful of senior appearances this season.

As it stands Allan's current deal runs out in the summer and therefore he would be free to talk to prospective buyers in January.
