Tangerines take on Ibrox challenge

Dundee United travel to face up to runaway leaders Rangers at Ibrox this weekend.

Defender Garry Kenneth is back in contention for the visitors after being ruled out of their morale-boosting 4-1 triumph at Dunfermline Athletic last week. His availability is certainly welcome with Sean Dillon (calf), Danny Swanson (knee) and Scott Severin (broken leg) still absent.

"It will be a mammoth task but we look forward to it, rather than fear it," Tangerines manager Peter Houston told BBC Scotland. "Rangers are in a rich vein of form. I think the standards they've set this season and at the end of last season are an example to all clubs.

"That's the goal of every other club in the SPL - to try and maintain the consistency levels that they've shown," he added. "It's always a difficult one going to Ibrox or Parkhead. You either go in there and have a fantastic performance or a poor performance."

However, Rangers have already lost forward Steven Naismith for the remainder of the season and Lee McCulloch is also out with a calf injury. But Kyle Bartley comes back into the fold after being sidelined by a hernia since August.
