Defender set to sign

Former Hearts skipper Robbie Neilson is to join Dundee United until the end of the season.

The 31-year-old defender has previously been capped once for Scotland and also spent time with Leicester City, with additional loan spells at Cowdenbeath, Queen of the South and most recently Brentford earlier this year.

He was expected to complete the move on Tuesday and could be set for a debut against his former club as Hearts visit Tannadice this weekend.

Neilson made more than two hundred senior appearances for the Edinburgh club.
