Allan fee agreed for New Year
Dundee United have agreed a fee to sell midfielder Scott Allan to West Bromwich Albion in January.
The Tangerines would expect to collect around £300,000 should the deal go ahead, but both Celtic and Rangers are currently watching the situation and could step in with offers of their own.
The 20-year-old is out of contract at Tannadice at the end of the season, by when United would only be eligible to a compensation fee if he leaves the club.
Scottish Under-21 international Allan has so far made only seven senior appearances for the Taysiders but has regularly attracted interest from the likes of Newcastle United and Rangers.
