Terrors aim to maintain rise

Dundee United take their improved form to St Mirren this evening after finally breaking into the top six following their second-half comeback against Hibernian on Christmas Eve.

Midfielder Willo Flood should be available after missing the 3-1 triumph due to illness, while on loan Fulham striker Lauri Dalla Valle has been suffering with a similar condition and remains a doubt. Otherwise, long-term casualties Danny Swanson and Scott Severin are still on the sidelines.

"They're looking forward to it but we don't take anything for granted because it's a team who will overtake us if we don't get something from the match. We've got ourselves up the table a wee bit and our aim is to try and at least stay there."

St Mirren earned a terrific boost with victory against Rangers in their previous game and could again rely on the same starting eleven as they report no new injury problems.
