Houston blasts officials

Angry Peter Houston hit out at the match officials following the 2-1 defeat to Aberdeen at Tannadice.

The Dundee United boss believed his side should have earned a penalty and also a throw-in just ahead of the visitors' equalising goal.

"The assistant did not get involved at the penalty but certainly got involved in the equaliser," Houston told BBC Scotland. "I have to question his capability to perform at this level.

"It was a glaring penalty. It was a penalty all day long as far as I am concerned," he said of Andrew Considine's challenge on Johnny Russell.

"He was taken out. He was wiped out and [Dons skipper] Ricky Foster admitted to our players it was a stonewall penalty - and it would have been a red card as well as it was on the six-yard line."

Tangerines skipper Jon Daly had earlier given his side the lead.
