Houston hit with ban

Dundee United boss Peter Houston is to receive a two-game ban following comments made after the recent home defeat to Aberdeen.

Houston has until Friday lunchtime to respond after the penalty was imposed for his criticism of the match officials on duty at Tannadice.

The United boss was unhappy with the officials and in particular assistant referee Alan Mulvanny after his side were denied a penalty and also a throw-in in the build-up to the winning goal.

Should he take it to appeal it would be on Thursday 26th January.
