Terrors bid for striker

Dundee United have made a 25,000 bid for Hamilton Academical's versatile forward Dougie Imrie.

The 28-year-old has a year remaining on his current deal after signing from Inverness Caledonian Thistle last February.

"I've seen Dougie play as a lone striker, as a striker, wide on the right, wide left and at left-back," manager Peter Houston told BBC Scotland.

"He's caught my eye when he's played against us," he added. "I've watched him a number of times and he's somebody I think would add to our squad."
