Striker returns south

Striker returns south

Dundee United's on loan Finland Under-21 striker Lauri Dalla Valle has returned to Fulham at the end of his loan spell.

The 20-year-old scored three times in seven starts and eight substitute appearances at Tannadice, but the option of extending his stay until the end of the season wasn't taken.

Dalla Valle was an unused substitute in the weekend defeat at leaders Celtic and had reportedly felt increasing frustration at not being more of a regular.

United boss Peter Houston had previously expressed a desire to retain his service longer.
