Dundee United aim to rediscover their goalscoring touch this evening against Kilmarnock at Tannadice.
The Terrors currently have a doubt over centre-back Garry Kenneth, who is struggling with a groin problem, while midfielder Danny Swanson was again unlikely to return to the side disappointingly held 0-0 by St Mirren at the weekend.
However, the hosts still approach their midweek contest knowing that a victory would see them leapfrog their latest opponents in the table and reclaim sixth place.
"It wasn't the best of games at the weekend [v St Mirren]," manager Peter Houston told BBC Scotland. "The pitch wasn't great but I hate making excuses. We just needed a wee bit more quality but I was still pleased with the boys' work-rate and we will need that again against Killie.
"They are coming into the game on the back of a very good result at Ibrox so will be full of confidence," he added. "We have always had good games with Killie in the past. This will also be tough as they are an attack-minded side who like to get the ball down and play."
Kilmarnock indeed claimed a shock 1-0 victory at crisis club Rangers at the weekend. But defender Lewis Toshney is doubtful due to a calf strain while striker Dieter van Tornhout returns from suspension.
