Terrors battle for fourth

Terrors battle for fourth

Fourth-place in the SPL is up for grabs today as Dundee United visit St Johnstone in the early 12.30pm kick-off at McDiarmid Park.

The visitors are without centre-back Garry Kenneth, who suffered a hamstring injury during the week. The 24-year-old is due to leave Tannadice at the end of the season and may therefore have already played his last game for the club.

Both teams could yet overhaul Motherwell in third-placed with five games remaining of their campaign.

"It's really Motherwell's place to lose," United skipper Jon Daly admitted to BBC Scotland. "They've got a five-point gap on St Johnstone and six on ourselves.

"It's a big, big gap with 15 points to play for," he added. "We're looking for them to lose maybe three games in the run-in and us to win basically all of our games. The pressure is not really on us."

St Johnstone have midfielder Jamie Adams back after recovering from a hip injury while Murray Davidson similarly returns from a knee problem.

However, Jody Morris and Liam Craig are both suspended and Lee Croft has a hamstring injury.
