Keeper rejects return home

Keeper rejects return home

Former Dundee United goalkeeper Dusan Pernis has turned down the opportunity of a return to Slovakia with FK Senica.

The 27-year-old departed Tannadice in May and remains keen on a move to England - with Sheffield United understood to be interested.

He had already discounted any chance of joining SPL rivals Hibernian after recently being linked with the Easter Road club.

"I was aware of the interest from Hibs but I've always said my preferred option is to go down to England," he confirmed to the Daily Record after making 45 appearances for United last season.
