United in safe hands
Dundee United boss Peter Houston is certain new goalkeeper Radoslaw Cierzniak will prove an ideal replacement for Dusan Pernis.
The Polish shot-stopper has finally arrived at Tannadice on a two-year deal with the option of a third after agreeing a pre-contract in February.
Cierzniak, 29, has most recently been playing for Cracovi in his homeland and currently has one international cap to his credit.
"He looks like a good shot stopper and although I'm expecting a lot from him, we have to be patient as he's in a new country, a new type of football," Houston told stv.tv.
"I'm very happy to be here because Dundee United have very good players and play good football,' Cierzniak added. "I saw all last season's games and I'm happy I can play with this side."
