New deal for keeper

New deal for keeper

Goalkeeper Steve Banks has signed a new one-year deal at Dundee United.

That will allow him to provide cover for new Polish keeper Radoslaw Cierzniak while continuing to coach the club's goalkeepers.

Banks, 40, originally joined the Tangerines from Hearts three years ago and told United's official website: "Last season, I didn't get much game time but I know I can do a job if required and this contract shows that the Club also believes in my ability, which is nice.

"If needed to play I am ready and signing this contract also allows me to continue coaching which I enjoy very much," he added.
