Manager quits Europa opponents

Manager Sergei Silkin has quit Dundee United's Europa League opponents, Dynamo Moscow.

The 51-year-old resigned following the 4-0 weekend defeat to big rivals Spartak, which left them bottom table in Russia.

Last week Dynamo rescued a late 2-2 draw in the first-leg of their Europa League qualifier at Tannadice.

Meanwhile, the Tangerines are currently holding an internal inquiry following trouble at that game. The club have stated that any individual involved in unacceptable behaviour will receive a stadium ban.

Violence was reported to have flared during the first few minutes of the contest before police and stewards managed to separate the two sets of supporters.
