Clubs in striker hunt

Clubs in striker hunt

Dundee United striker Johnny Russell is coming under increasing attention with a number of clubs ready to make a move before the transfer window closes later this week.

Everton boss David Moyes had already been credited with an interest in the 22-year-old who scored fifteen times last season, and his club had representation present at United's weekend defeat to Kilmarnock.

But the Toffees are facing plenty of competition with Huddersfield Town, Bolton Wanderers and Derby County similarly keen on the Scotland Under-21 international.

Meanwhile, SPL champions Celtic could revive their interest after having a couple of previous offers turned down in January.
