We go in as underdogs - Houston
Dundee United manager Peter Houston reckons on current form his side are underdogs this evening against Queens of the South in the Scottish Communities League Cup.
The top-flight visitors are four games without a victory and three without a goal while their opponents lead the Second Division and have already defeated both Hibernian and Rangers in cup competitions this season.
"We're going to be in a cup tie where we might well be going in as underdogs, because people might think that's where the shock is going to be," Houston told the Dundee Courier. "And that's the motivation for our players.
"With Queen of the South knocking Hibs out and knocking Rangers out, some people will be expecting them to beat us and that's something we'll take on board," he added. "We have to stand up and see if our boys can stand up to the challenge. First and foremost we've got to win the battle before we win the war."
