'If It's Football, It's Vital'

United remain focused despite delay

Skipper Jon Daly says a three-week break from the action won't compromise Dundee United's ambitions to get their season firmly back on track.

The Tangerines were aiming to react favourably to a couple of comprehensive recent defeats when travelling to Motherwell at the weekend until a sudden power cut put paid to the postponed fixture at Fir Park.

And now with the international break arriving this coming weekend, it means they won't be in competitive action until Aberdeen next provide their opposition at Tannadice on 20th October.

"Everyone was looking forward to this game so it was really disappointing that it didn't go ahead," Daly told the Dundee Courier. "When you come off a couple of bad defeats you just want the next game to come round as quickly as possible.

"Unfortunately for us that hasn't happened and now we'll have a couple more weeks to wait," he continued. "We'll keep working hard over the next couple of weeks now, and make sure we're well prepared to play Aberdeen."
