Terrors midfielder feared second disappointment

Dundee United midfielder Mark Millar thought he may be jinxed after his full debut for the club appeared set to be cancelled for a second time.

The 24-year-old summer arrival from Falkirk was supposed to finally make a first start for the Taysiders against Motherwell three weeks ago - only for the game to be postponed just before kick-off following a power cut in the local area.

He was then selected to face Aberdeen at the weekend, but even that contest was in some doubt after the visitors were delayed in arriving after being caught in major traffic problems.

"I was actually supposed to start the game at Motherwell, but that went off and then we had the international break," Millar told the
Dundee Courier. "Then we saw what happened with Aberdeen travelling down and there was talk of the game maybe going off.

"I was starting to wonder if I was a jinx," he admitted. "I've had to wait to get a chance and I just want to take it now."
