Happy talks pleases Houston
Dundee United chief Peter Houston has praised midfielder Stuart Armstrong after recently committing himself to the Tayside club.
The Scotland Under-21 captain signed a new deal last month which keeps him at Tannadice until 2015. And his manager is hoping that with
his immediate future now settled, Armstrong can continue to repeat the kind of performance he gave against Aberdeen at the weekend.
"I'm so pleased we were able to get Stuart signed up again recently," Houston told the Dundee Courier. "He's the next one who might be ready to go on to bigger things in the next couple of years. That's what I genuinely think of him because he's a good player."
Houston found it especially refreshing that there was no agent involved during discussions and that the player's father oversaw all negotiations.
"I spoke to his father, who did the contract without any agent being involved," he added. "His dad was 100 per cent looking after
the interests of the player which was refreshing for me as a manager. Stuart is a level-headed boy from a good family."
