Numbers row doesn't concern newcomer
New signing Rudi Skacel has played down the recent row over his chosen squad number at Dundee United.
The Czech midfielder requested number 51 on his shirt following his arrival at Tannadice last week - apparently in memory of former club Hearts' Scottish Cup final mauling of rivals Hibernian last season.
Tangerines chief Peter Houston later conceded he wouldn't have allowed it to have been registered had he earlier noticed the link.
The numbers controversy ironically comes ahead of Skacel facing Hearts in the Scottish Communities League Cup quarter-finals on Wednesday evening.
"For me it is another game but also it is a little bit special," Skacel told the Dundee Courier. "It will be a little bit weird to play against Hearts but I want to make sure I do everything for Dundee United.
"I have come to United to help them win games. I don't want to lose," he added. "I have good memories of my ex-club but now I have to make sure I do everything for my new team."
