Goal hero expects United to rise

Goal hero expects United to rise

Weekend goalscorer Gary Mackay-Steven is sure Dundee United can start to move back up the table after coming back to draw with Celtic.

The 23-year-old marked his recent return to action with the opener as his side rescued a late point courtesy of two late goals against the league leaders.

"It was a great point and we want to build on it now and go on a good run," Mackay-Steven told the Dundee Courier. 'We are at our most dangerous when we attack teams and we had a lot of forward players on the pitch.

"You could see Celtic rocking a bit. It's never over at 2-0 and we had belief when we pulled one back," he added. "It took an own goal to get the equaliser but we are delighted. It was nice to score but it was about the whole team. The second-half performance was good and we deserved the point in the end."
