'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Solid approach way forward - Houston

A solid foundation has been the real improvement in recent games according to Dundee United manager Peter Houston.

The Tangerines defeated their city neighbours Dundee by a 3-0 scoreline for the second time this season at the weekend.

And Houston was particularly pleased by them showing increased resistance at the back following a number of games recently in which they have conceded early.

"The thing which has pleased me most in the last couple of games is that we're not losing the first goal, to have to chase games, which is something we have to maintain," he told the Dundee Courier. "We're a team who will always create chances and when you do that you have to make sure you keep things tight at the back."
