Tangerines fans dismiss claims

Tangerines fans dismiss claims

Dundee United supporters' groups have refuted accusations that away fans caused damage to the stadium during their recent visit to Aberdeen.

Eighteen seats were said to have been damaged, with the Dons subsequently billing their opponents £100-a-seat as compensation.

However, United supporters in attendance dismissed claims of them being responsible while stating the away section at Pittodrie were seriously in need of repair anyway.

A Dundee United spokesman said the club would co-operate fully with any investigation.

Meanwhile, Grampian Police are to review CCTV footage from the game and interview match stewards as part of their ongoing enquiries.
