Terrors boosted by return
Dundee United travel to Kilmarnock on their return to action this weekend following the fortnight's winter break.
The Terrors are boosted at the end of a particularly difficult week by the welcome return to duty of winger Gary Mackay-Steven from injury.
But central defender Brian McLean is unavailable for the trip to Ayrshire as he completes a two-match ban for his recent sending-off against St Mirren.
"I still believe we can finish in the top six and I still believe we can put a run together because they are a great bunch of boys," manager Peter Houston told BBC Scotland. "They work ever so hard. They don't always play well but you can never guarantee that anyway. They work hard, they train hard and their attitude is absolutely spot on."
Kilmarnock are missing new signing Rabiu Ibrahim as their Nigerian recruit from Celtic is still awaiting a work permit.
