Former striker set for rivals
Former Dundee United striker Jason Scotland could soon be searching for goals for city rivals Dundee.
The 33-year-old was released by English Championship club Ipswich Town yesterday after agreeing a settlement on his current deal which still had a few months to run.
The Trinidad and Tobago international who has also had spells with St Johnstone, Swansea City and Wigan Athletic may now join the Dark Blues on trial.
Scotland netted eight goals in 21 league starts for United but mainly featured from the bench during a two-year stay which ended with a move to St Johnstone in August 2005.
