Houston reflects on missed opportunity
Dundee United manager Peter Houston felt missed opportunities cost his side dear following their 4-0 defeat at SPL leaders Celtic.
Gary Mackay-Steven spurned an early chance to open the scoring for the visitors and it was their opponents twice finding the mark in each half to further extend their advantage at the top of the table to twelve points.
"When you come here you always want to take the chances you create," Houston told BBC Scotland. "Who knows what would have happened had we scored? If we score first it puts them on the back foot.
"But even at 2-0 at half-time I said the next goal was all-important and I felt that Celtic were getting a wee bit edgy at times," he added. "If we get that next goal we are back in the game but they got the third goal and the game is over and done by then."
