Pitch inspection at Tannadice

Dundee United will hold an early morning pitch inspection at Tannadice after heavy snow left their home clash with Ross County in doubt.

Midfielders Stuart Armstrong and Richie Ryan, plus centre-back Brian McLean, are all in contention for starts after being on the bench for the midweek 4-0 defeat at Celtic.

"There have been too many draws when we have played well enough to see teams off," manager Peter Houston told BBC Scotland. "But if we can keep that away form going and turn the home form around then I am convinced we can get top six."

German striker Steffen Wohlfarth has been recruited by the Dingwall club but they still await a work permit for Andre Hainault.

Elsewhere, Stuart Kettlewell is missing with a hamstring injury while Colin McMenamin and Mark Corcoran have both recently departed.
