Tangerines blunt Blades bid

Dundee United have rejected an offer from Sheffield United for striker Johnny Russell.

The Blades' modest bid was understood to be around £400,000 but still well below the current valuation of the SPL side.

Fellow Championship outfit Burnley have also been linked with a possible move ahead of the close of the transfer deadline on Thursday evening.

Russell, 22, has already scored fourteen times for United this season.
