Terrors aim for home improvement

New Dundee United manager Jackie McNamara takes charge for the second time as Hearts visit Tannadice on Saturday.

The former Partick Thistle boss certainly began well as the Tangerines comfortably disposed of Rangers in the Scottish Cup last time out.

Defender Keith Watson is a concern with a slight tightness in his knee but midfielder Stuart Armstrong returned safely from midweek Scotland Under-21 duty.

"This will be a very tough match against Hearts but it's one we should be approaching with confidence," McNamara told BBC Scotland. "There were a lot of positives things to come out of the Rangers game which we want to use to our advantage.

"We want to try and move up the table as well so it will be very important to start winning more games at Tannadice in front of our own supporters," he added.

Hearts welcome back midfielder Scott Robinson from a two-match ban but Callum Paterson has been ruled out for three months after undergoing surgery on his foot.

Otherwise, Andy Webster and Jason Holt should both recover from slight knocks and avoid joining Jamie Hamill and Danny Grainger on the sidelines.
