United given Celtic test
Dundee United have been paired with SPL leaders Celtic in the semi-finals of the Scottish Cup.
The Tangerines accounted for city rivals Dundee yesterday to confirm their standing in the last four of the competition.
Meanwhile, defeated finalists from last season Hibernian take on first division Falkirk in the other semi-final.
"Celtic is a hard game but any game would have been difficult and you just take what you get in the draw," United chairman Stephen Thompson admitted to BBC Scotland. "Celtic are a very difficult team but it's a one-off game so you never know. If we hit form on the day I'm sure we are capable of beating them."
Both ties are to be played over the weekend of the 13th-14th April.
