Striker set for lay-off
Dundee United's leading scorer Johnny Russell has been ruled out for around six weeks with a broken leg.
The 22-year-old has already netted twenty goals this term but was hurt in last week's goalless draw with Inverness Caledonian Thistle following a challenge by Josh Meekings.
A subsequent X-ray has determined a broken fibula, which will come as a massive blow to recently-appointed manager Jackie McNamara.
"Absolutely gutted - got an X-ray this morning on my injury and I have fractured my fibula," reacted Russell via social networking site Twitter on receiving the news.
