Boss seeks bonus payment

Boss seeks bonus payment

Dundee United manager Jackie McNamara was hoping to earn himself a bonus payment following former club Partick Thistle's First Division title success.

The Jags received a letter from the 39-year-old making the claim but state he forfeited any entitlement when deciding to join United as Peter Houston's successor in January.

His replacement in the role, Alan Archibald, then proceeded to guide the Firhill Park outfit to promotion.

McNamara had earlier left the Glasgow side while they still trailed then leaders Morton by five points but with two games in hand.
