Russell: Nothing signed

The ongoing transfer of Dundee United striker Johnny Russell rumbles on with his agent stating that nothing definite has been finalised with Derby County.

The two clubs have agreed on a fee of around £750,000 for the 23-year-old who still has a year left on his existing Tannadice deal. Personal terms are similarly understood to have been settled.

But nothing has as yet been signed because Russell is currently away on holiday. He is though due to have a medical at Derby next week.

"A fee has been agreed with Derby County and Johnny is going down there next week for a medical and to have a look around and look at the set-up," agent John Viola confirmed to the Dundee Courier. "That's where we are at the moment — nothing has been signed. We are happy with what has been discussed so far and Johnny going down there some time next week is the next step."
