Tangerines hopeful over striker
Dundee United chairman Stephen Thompson remains hopeful of attracting former striker David Goodwillie back to the club.
The Tangerines are continuing talks with Blackburn Rovers regarding a possible loan deal for the 24-year-old forward who has started only ten games since leaving in August 2011.
That follows last season's leading marksman Johnny Russell being on the verge of a move to fellow English Championship side Derby County for a fee of in the region of £750,000.
"We are sorry to lose a player of Johnny's calibre but trying to get David Goodwillie back is quite a move and shows our ambition to bring the right players in," Thompson told the Dundee Courier . "We are also chasing further exciting additions to the squad."
