Rovers reject striker approach
Dundee United's bid to re-sign former striker David Goodwillie on loan appears to have failed.
The Tangerines were hoping to recruit their one-time marksman from Blackburn Rovers ahead of the expected departure of Johnny Russell next week.
Goodwillie has continued to struggle and been restricted to only ten starts at Ewood Park since arriving a couple of years ago and was even despatched out on loan to Crystal Palace.
But following United's approach, Rovers manager Gary Bowyer told the Lancashire Telegraph: "The offer is not good enough and there are other clubs interested."
SPL rivals Hearts, Aberdeen and an unnamed Championship club are believed to be amongst those considering a move.
