McNamara faces immediate return

Dundee United manager Jackie McNamara faces an immediate return to former club Partick Thistle on the opening day of the new season.

The Tangerines make the trip to Glasgow on Saturday 3rd August for the keenly anticipated Firhill Park clash against the top-flight newcomers.

Their first home game witnesses Inverness Caledonian Thistle arriving at Tannadice the following weekend before travelling to the capital to face Hibernian at Easter Road.

The opening month of the new campaign finishes with successive home games against St Johnstone and champions Celtic over consecutive weekends.
