Tangerines still wait on striker

Tangerines still wait on striker

Dundee United are being forced to wait in their bid to bring former striker David Goodwillie back to Tannadice.

The Tangerines are keen to re-sign the 24-year-old on loan from Blackburn Rovers having recently lost the services of both Johnny Russell and Jon Daly.

However, the £2.8m signing from United a couple of years ago instead returned to training with the English Championship side yesterday.

Blackburn were in turn expected to wait for any further enquires before deciding whether a return to Tayside would occur.
