Terrors denied in defensive search
Dundee United won't be signing Hearts defender Danny Wilson after the Scottish Premier Football League confirmed his registration will continue at the end of his loan deal from Liverpool.
Hearts had already announced the 21-year-old would be joining them permanently on a three-year contract before entering administration earlier this month.
But that arrangement then appeared in serious doubt when administrators BDO were appointed to resolve the club's severe financial problems.
The Tangerines had hoped to take advantage of that situation but Wilson agreed to a pay-cut at Hearts, and the SPFL decided the deal would not count as a new registration and would be permitted under their current embargo.
