Tangerines look at trialist

Tangerines look at trialist

Dundee United are set to include a third trialist in their side when facing the second and final match of their German tour against Energie Cottbus later this evening.

The Tangerines are taking a look at free-agent Dutch centre-back Ismo Vorstermans, who has recently left FC Utrecht.

The 24-year-old former Ajax youngster previously spent eighteen months on loan to fellow Eredivisie side VVV Venlo while making ten appearances last season.

"We have Dillo and Gavin Gunning to come back but I'd like one more too," manager Jackie McNamara told the Dundee Courier. "Getting Gavin back will be like a new signing for me because he only played in one game before his injury.

"He's been given the green light to start training again so it's just a case of building up his fitness now," he added.
