Striker back on target for ten-men

Dundee United suffered a third straight pre-season defeat when losing 3-1 to Spanish opponents San Roque.

Both sides were reduced to ten men with United's recent signing Paul Paton given a straight red card early in the second-half.

David Goodwillie scored for the visitors with his first goal since returning to the club on loan from Blackburn Rovers.

The Tangerines are due to fly back home tomorrow and manager Jackie McNamara will then make a final decision on trialists Jean-Yves Koue Niate, Graham Carey and Nadir Ciftci.
