Teenager hopes for regular chance

Talented teenager Ryan Gauld is looking to hold onto a regular place in the Dundee United side after scoring his third goal for the club at the weekend.

Highly-rated prospect Gauld, 17, was on target alongside Gary Mackay-Steven, Stuart Armstrong and Nadir Ciftci in a 4-2 romp against a shell-shocked Ross County in Dingwall.

"I'm a wee bit annoyed with myself that I didn't score more than one as I had a few chances," he admitted to the Dundee Courier. "But I am happy that I got another goal. But, most importantly, the team got a win which is what really matters.

"I was just delighted to get my chance," Gauld continued. "I just try to enjoy it when I'm playing. That's the most important thing. Hopefully I can get in the starting XI most weeks and score more goals."
