Tangerines target six

Form team Dundee United aim for a sixth successive victory as they entertain struggling Ross County this weekend.

Defenders Gavin Gunning (knee) and Keith Watson (leg) are both battling to recover in time to line-up against opponents who have lost six of their last seven games.

Another success would actually see United move second in the table courtesy of their vastly superior goal-difference and ahead of Inverness Caledonian Thistle hosting fourth-placed Aberdeen in the later kick-off.

However, manager Jackie McNamara was taking absolutely nothing for granted for the visit of the lowly Staggies.

"We've got to be wary of Ross County. Getting the three points won't be easy," he warned BBC Scotland. "County are not having as successful a time as they had last year, but they'll be looking to turn the corner and come here to try and make it as difficult as possible for us.

"It's important we keep maintaining and improving, we're striving for that," McNamara added. "You can always get better in football and there's a lot of things you can improve on."

The visitors are without midfielder Marc Klok and Steven Saunders but fellow defender Branislav Micic has recovered from hamstring trouble.
