Striker could recover

Striker could recover

Striker Nadir Ciftci could still be available for Dundee United's weekend meeting with Inverness Caledonian Thistle.

The 21-year-old suffered a groin injury during the latest 2-2 draw with Hibernian, although the problem fortunately wasn't as serious as initially feared.

"Nadir is hopefully not as bad as we first thought," manager Jackie McNamara told the Dundee Courier. "We'll see how things go but he might be in with an outside chance of making Sunday's game up in Inverness, which would be a bonus."

However, right-back Mark Wilson is expected to be ruled out for a couple of weeks with a torn stomach muscle after failing to make the second-half against Hibs.

Elsewhere, midfielder Mark Millar's loan to Falkirk has been extended for the rest of the season.
