United contest debt claims

Dundee United are contesting claims they owe almost 70,000 following the transfer of former striker Johnny Russell.

Those are being made by football agency Premier Sports Management International Ltd, who are stating they are still due money from the sale.

Russell completed a 750,000 move to English Championship club Derby County on a four-year deal in June of last year.

The case is to go before Dundee Sheriff Court on Thursday morning.
