Boss seeks winning return

Boss seeks winning return

Manager Jackie McNamara is keen to get his Dundee United side right back on track following six games without a victory.

The Tangerines have recently slipped from the lofty heights of second in the table just before Christmas to now occupying fifth position ahead of their forthcoming derby with St Johnstone.

"We need to be brave and stand up and be counted," McNamara told the Dundee Courier. "We can't feel sorry for ourselves. Certain things go for you, some don't, that's part of football.

"You sometimes learn more from defeats. Football can bring you disappointments as well as the adulation and the good things when you are winning," he added. "It's part and parcel of football but we have to get back to winning ways as soon as possible."
