United hope for lucky seven

United hope for lucky seven

Dundee United will be determined to record a first win in seven games against local rivals St Johnstone at Tannadice on Monday evening (kick-off 7.45pm).

Teenage pair John Souttar and Ryan Gauld return following their short mid-winter break but striker Brian Graham is still out with ankle trouble.

Meanwhile, defender Gavin Gunning is a current doubt for the hosts with a hamstring problem.

Veteran striker Chris Iwelumo could start for the visitors after joining the club last week following his release by Scunthorpe United.

Steven Anderson is also available due to his successful appeal against a red card but Alan Mannus and Tam Scobbie are both suspended.

Otherwise, Murray Davidson and Steven MacLean remain out for the visitors.
