Striker hailed after victory

Striker hailed after victory

Manager Jackie McNamara labelled striker Nadir Ciftci a "special talent" following Dundee United's 3-1 victory over Motherwell.

The Turkish forward again proved a key performer despite conceding a penalty converted by John Sutton. That trimmed earlier efforts from Ryan Dow and a Gavin Gunning double.

"You can see again what a talent he is, his vision and his movement," McNamara told BBC Scotland. "He's just turned 22 and he's a special talent. He's here because of the little flaws in his game.

"It's up to me to try to get the flaws out him and concentrating for the full 90 minutes," he added. "I'm delighted with the result. I thought the performances in the first half was excellent."
