'If It's Football, It's Vital'

Teenager enjoying new stage

Dundee United left-back Andrew Robertson is thrilled at the prospect of making his Scotland debut.

The nineteen-year-old has enjoyed a dramatic rise in fortunes after previously being released by Celtic as a youngster. Just over twelve months ago he was playing as an amateur for Queen's Park.

"It's been a quick progression, but I always knew I could do it. It was just getting given that chance," Robertson told BBC Scotland. "Luckily, the gaffer at United gave me that chance, I think I've repaid him.

"When I was younger, I was watching these players playing and breaking through, so it's good to be meeting up with them and obviously they are experienced players, you can learn a lot from them," he added. "I'm just enjoying being called up and enjoying the experience."
