Striker hailed as 'unplayable'
Dundee United boss Jackie McNamara praised striker Nadir Ciftci following the weekend romp at Inverness Caledonian Thistle.
The Turkish forward netted twice during the first-half of the 5-0 victory at the Caledonian Stadium to help erase memories of his sending-off at the same venue in the League Cup quarter-final defeat back in October.
"Nadir took his first goal really well and showed the desire to get on the end of the second one," McNamara told the Dundee Courier. "When he's on form he is unplayable. The big thing for the first one is the strength he has got, and the second one you can see the lad looking over his shoulder looking for him. He has real pace and power and I thought he was fantastic."
The Tangerines now meet either Albion Rovers or Rangers in the last four of the Scottish Cup. Aberdeen meet St Johnstone in the other tie.
